Homemade TMNT Legos?

The Evil Geeks are Lego Maniacs, but our friend Lousmer is a certified Lego Psychopath. Within the hallowed walls of the Evil Geeks Lair that’s a compliment in the highest order. He recently showed us some of his homemade Lego projects and we were so impressed we wanted to share them with you. This particular batch is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles themed, the first is Casey Jones’ classic look and the second is the robot Metalhead whose design is based on the new TMNT Nickelodeon cartoon.

Comic Book Panel of The Day 2/5/13

Salutations Evil Geeks, it’s time for a new Panel of The Day! Today’s panel honors one of the coolest characters to come out of Kevin Eastman and Peter Lard’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe: Casey Jones! In one of the sports enthusiast/unhinged maniac’s first appearances he shows to to assist Leo, Don, Raph, and Mike at a key moment as the boys are battling the Foot Clan. Casey bursts onto the scene, savagely screaming his trademark battle cry:

If you’re a regular reader of our website you may have come to know one of our authors, Martian Luthor Kang. A time traveling, conquerer of worlds who is an unapologetic lover of all things John McClane. I sat down with him recently and conducted a series of interviews which will be published in installments. So sit back, relax, pop open a packet of Soylent Green and enjoy.

My Stomach is Nostalgic

So, on Friday the news broke that Hostess Brands, Inc. would shut down its production and liquidate all assets. Now, I’m not worried about never having a Twinkie again. The brand is so recognizable that someone will snatch it up and have them back in production before too long, and and even if they don’t it will be for my own good. But it got me to thinking… it got me to thinking about my childhood. When I was a tiny conqueror and only in school for the morning, I would go shopping with my mother. She was a meticulous shopper and we’d hit a variety of different stores for the best deals. One day a week, I have no idea which, we would go to Freihofer’s bakery outlet and I could pick out a special treat. And for a time… a time not TOO limited, as it seemed to span more than a year in my memory, I always chose a Hostess Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pie (filled with Vanilla Puddin’ Power)
