Batman_Arkham_Origins

Hey now, Evil Geeks!  Who feels like talking video games?  You know your friendly neighborhood C-Mart certainly is!  If there’s one thing I love talking about just as much as if not more than video games, that would be Batman; so when those worlds collide, there’s definitely going to be some conversing and some reviewing to be done.  This week we’re cracking open Batman: Arkham Origins by WB Games, who’ve taken over the reins from Rocksteady.  You may have read Arthur Harkness’ earlier suggestion for this game, but today I’m cutting through the fanboy and giving you the critical review that Gotham deserves.  Tell your mom to get your cowl out of the dryer and make sure you’re homemade batarangs are shiny and spotless, it’s time to clean up the streets of Gotham with nothing more than good, old-fashioned, all American, violence…and of course a billion dollar fortune!

What’s Killing My Social Life This Week – Deadpool

Greetings Evil Geeks!  It’s Summertime, so that means sun, pools, BBQ’s, beaches, and a whole host of other outdoor activities…for most folks.  There are those of us who’d describe ourselves as “Avid Indoorsmen or Indoorswomen” for whom Summertime means spending hours on end in beautifully air-conditioned rooms, surrounded by flat screens and all the latest gaming technology.  In What’s Killing My Social Life This Week, we take a minute to examine all the latest and greatest games that are officially keeping us indoors, sun-averse,  and generally socially isolated.  Even in today’s world where we seem to have a new comic book or graphic novel adapted movie hitting theaters every week, it’s still kind of rare to get a superhero game.  This week’s topic of discussion is no ordinary superhero though, oh no.  We’re dealing with a whole new class of sort-of-hero.  Part scoundrel, part psycho, entirely f@#$ing badass! It’s the Regeneratin’ Degenerate. The Merc With a Mouth. The one, the only, the bat-shit crazy DEADPOOL!!!  Deadpool’s latest game from Activision and High Moon Studios just hit stores last Tuesday, and I think I’ve spent at least half of those past six days planted in front of my TV racking up a bigger body count that the black plague.  I’m an enormous Deadpool fan, so this game would’ve had to REALLY suck for me to hate it, but read on to get my honest impressions of the game!

Oh yeah, thats going to attract some sharks...

Oh yeah, thats going to attract some sharks…

It’s high noon Evil Geeks.  Back in the Old West, that usually meant that someone was about to get shot, but today… well chances are these days someone’s still about to get shot, but it’s 12 o’clock and that sounds like the perfect time to talk about What’s Killing My Social Life This Week!  Today we’re going to be going over Ubisoft Montreal’s epic ode to 90’s HBO Thursday Night Prime movies, Far Cry 3.  Get out your water shoes and Bermuda shorts, because you will get tropical on this ride.  I highly recommend powdering your junk with some Gold Bond first though; with all this heat and humidity there’s bound to be an epidemic of chafing!
