The Mandalorian: Tried and True Science Fiction

Hey gang, Lilith here, been a while, I no, but someone’s got to bring you their opinion on this epic new installment in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian, and specifically baby Yoda aka the Child, has probably given Disney thousands of Disney Plus subscriptions and not without reason. Rather than write a play by play or discuss possible theories of what is to come, or even just rant about the show’s awesomeness, I want to instead compare this show to my still all-time favorite science fiction TV series and why I feel this show is destined for success. Very minimal spoilers to follow.

Doctober Spotlight – Dr. Simon Tam

I don’t know about you, but I think one of my dream jobs might possibly be becoming a doctor for a space ship with the most fun loving, loyal, and rowdy crew around this half of the galaxy. Evil Geeks Women’s History Month Warriors: Zoe Washburne

I could probably spend an entire month just writing about all the things I love about the show Firefly, but sadly I think I would bore you all to death, or maybe commit several of you to more hours sneaking in time at your cubicle to read my mind-blowing posts rather than being productive at work. TV From the Crypts: Firefly

Every year when August rears its hot, humid and sweaty head I get a little excited that it is that time of year again: that time of year being time to re-watch the TV show Firefly. Feel free to replace the above sentence with any month of the year, since it is a well known fact that Firefly is the best TV show of all time, and therefore why deprive yourself, you might as well indulge in this addicting program multiple times a year. I am sure most of you sci-fi loving freaks have already come across this show (and therefore become a drooling slave to its powers), but for those of you who have not, drop what you are doing RIGHT NOW and go online or to the nearest Newbury Comics to buy yourself a copy. Before you know it you will be fired from your job for lack of productivity since you will be spending all waking hours outside of work watching the show, which is a good thing since it will allow you to re-watch the show again and again without work interfering.
