TV From The Crypts: Torchwood Children of Earth
Greetings my villainous compatriots, Lilith here with some back logged reviews for you. Since the only things that everyone wants to watch these days seem to be either GoT or TWD, it’s nice to know that there are some past movies and TV shows we can all enjoy. And being that we are on an off year from the Whoverse, I wanted to catch up with some spin offs. Plus one never really tires of watching Jack Harkness.
TV From The Crypts: Torchwood Season 1 and 2
Sad that you aren’t going to get any new Doctor Who episodes this year? Me too, but why not delve in to one of the many spin off series instead? That’s what I did, and naturally I chose to start with Torchwood, since I don’t think anyone can get enough of Captain Jack Harkness.
Evil Movie Review: Under The Skin
I was super excited to watch this film and bring my review to all of you for a lot of reasons. Let’s see: Indy film, takes place in the UK, has Scarlett Johansen, aliens, and Scarlett as an alien! Really just tons of reasons to be stoked about this film. And yet it can all go wrong so quickly. Here’s my spoiler filled review and why I think this film really fell short, and quite frankly creeped the hell out of me!
Evil Geek Book Report – Aliens: Fire & Stone & Prometheus Fire & Stone #1-4
First let me say that’ I’m in the minority of people who really enjoyed Ridley Scott’s Prometheus. You may recall me starting a series of articles reviewing all of the Alien movies, I stopped after the second one but do plan to some day pick it back up. Alien is one of my all time favorite movies, so when I heard that Dark Horse was going to begin doing more comic book stories with the franchise I jumped at the chance. Especially since two of the titles would also tie into Prometheus. The other two were centered around Predator as well as the Aliens Vs. Predator series. That’s not my thing really, so today we are going to focus on both the 4 issue Aliens miniseries as well as the Prometheus one, both subtitled Fire & Stone.
Your Weekend Creature Comforts: Vashta Nerada
Since I am on a Doctor Who kick this week why not bring you one of the coolest, and creepiest, alien species from the series to you this weekend. The Vashta Nerada, instilling fear of the dark in to all cultures for good reason. These monsters have made me buy a nightlight.
