The Things I Do For Comics – Police Academy The Comic Book
So, you know how I read and review terrible books? Like, the kinds of books you wouldn’t want your worst enemy to have to read? Well, I was given this book so that it could be featured in this series… but little did the gifter suspect that I was such a huge fan of the Police Academy series of films that I was actually almost excited to get into this thing! But that doesn’t mean it wasn’t terrible, so hopefully you can still get some kind of schadenfreude from my having to read it.
TV From The Crypts: Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 4
Welcome back Whedonites. Lilith here to rehash season 4 of our favorite vampire-laden TV show Buffy. Get ready for some deviations from the usual with the Scooby Gang; this season brought with it some heavy topics, full of love, science, slaying, studying and sex. Yup, Buffy and her friends are off to college this season. Spoilers to follow as I review this monumental season of Buffy.
Zombie Round Up: The Distance
What’s up, Zombie Heads!?!? Were just a few episodes in to the new half season of The Walking Dead and each episode keeps bringing us more tragedy, but also more hope at the same time. It seems like hope is the only thing keeping the Grimes party continuing on towards their goal of reaching Washington D.C. Think about that for a second; they’re walking to Washington… from Georgia. I’m tired just from typing that sentence. A trip like that, conducted in the blazing heat of the Deep South is bound to drain even the toughest persons’ spirit and stamina. Sure enough after marching for so long, our gang’s running low not only on food and water, but also on the hope for something better that’s been driving them. When a stranger shows up offering just the thing they’re searching for, you’d think the group would at least be somewhat welcoming, right? Yeah, no. They’re not.
Cover Of The Day 2/24/15
Our cover of the day is an excellent variant for All New X-Men #36 by the artist Jock. It’s a slam dunk for me using two of my (and everyone else’s) favorites Rocket Raccoon and Groot and paying homage to the classic 1983 Paul Smith Uncanny X-Men #173 cover.
