Justice League: Throne of Atlantis Trailer is Up!

Hey There Cartoon Nerds!

Marvel may have the live-action movies right now, but everyone knows that DC has been king of animation for the past twenty years or so in terms of superhero movies and it looks like they’ve got another hit on their hands with Justice League: Throne of Atlantis.

Stemming from the events of Justice League: War which saw the formation of the Worlds Greatest Heroes to battle Darkseid and his armies of Apokolips based on DC’s New 52 Universe. Almost immediately every nerd out there realized that they forgot a founding member and replaced him with Shazam and the internet was all in a tizzy. The said founding member was none other than Aquaman! Now, I know that it’s real easy to make fun of this guy, but you’ve got your head stuck in Superfriends mode then! Arthur Curry, aka Aquaman is a complete badass and the folks at DC have been rising him up the ranks for the past five years or so starting with Blackest Night and Brightest Day and then turning him into a stone cold badass in Flashpoint! After that he came on the scene of the New 52 and demanded leadership of the Justice League and regulary kicks ass in his own book too!

On the small screen we’ve also seen DC giving him the love in their Flashpoint animated feature, both as the traditional character and the alternate badass. So when JL:War ended and I saw the final scene with Ocean Master I for one was jumping for joy at the possibilities. Loosely based on the New 52 crossover of the same name but living in this new animated universe we’ll see the origins behind everyone’s favorite Sea King as well as Ocean Master, Black Manta, Mera, The Trench, and more! Check out the trailer now!

Justice League: Throne of Atlantis will debut on digital, DVD and Blu-ray in early 2015.

Later Nerds!
