Cover Of The Day 5/5/14

Today we are highlighting the cover for issue #11 of the pulp adventure series Five Ghosts. Artist Chris Mooneyham is no slouch when it comes to evoking that old school exotic globe trotting feel and this is certainly no exception. Originally the issue was solicited with this color scheme:

However, when it reached the shelves the final product had been recolored.

While the cover alone does a fine job putting across what it needs to, the original color choices are much more eye popping while the final version is a little more subdued. These kind of artistic choices fascinate me and I’m glad we live in a world where we can have access to both.

  1. Both are awesome, but the second looks like an old pulp novel from the 60’s while the first looks more like a comic. Both greast though.
