Welcome back to your home for bloodshed and treasure with yours truly and our merry band of brothers and shield maidens. I know you have all been anticipating this week’s episode as we finally get a chance to see Bjorn and Ragnar finally head into battle side by side in a fight that could prove to be the beginning and end of a lot of things in their world. I have been smashing things around the lair in anticipation of this and it’s gotten to the point that I have almost run out of things to crush against my face, so it’s a good thing that Thursday is finally upon us. Vikings! Shield Maidens! Rollo! Grab your weapons and let’s fucking do this!
Barreling straight through the fourth wall, She-Hulk has transcended from her roots as a cheap knock-off of a beloved Marvel character to become one of that company’s strongest female characters.
I couldn’t resist writing yet another installment of ‘Women’s History Month Warriors’, to acknowledge the fictional woman who inspired my social media handle, and who dons the official “Undies of Wondy” to kick butt. Of course I’m referring to Miss Diana Prince, better known as Wonder Woman.
These types of articles are the hardest to write since so much of it comes down to personal biases, but today I’ve gathered you all here to talk about a little show called The Walking Dead.
If you follow our site, you’ll know we are fans. In fact, it may be the only single show that each our writer’s collectively watch. AMC has proven that it’s a sheer powerhouse, successful beyond the network’s wildest dreams, generally snagging the #1 spot when each new episodes air. People talk about it Monday morning in my office religiously, you see t-shirts and other merchandise constantly and it’s all over social media. Zombies are basically everywhere. Yet, I’ve never seen so many people complain about a show who faithfully watch it every week. What gives?
It’s been quite the month of the female variety here at the Evil Lair. No, not in the way you think…you pervs. Women’s History month has been going strong and the Geeks have been trying their best to provide you with a Woman Warrior every day. I know I may have been slacking compared to Lillith, who is a freaking machine, but you should all have known that I would have to do one on my favorite Shield Maiden. Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you, my future battle wife Lagertha.
Today I bring you the Mockingjay. Yes folks, Katniss Everdeen is a woman that you don’t want to cross, and you definitely want by your side in battle. She certainly comes with her character flaws, most importantly an inability to let people she loves help her, but she will also fight for her friends and what is just and right until the end.
