Zombie Round Up: Claimed

abraham-eugene-rosita-the-walking-dead-season-4-amcIt’s Round Up time, Evil Geeks! After last week, we now know what happened to most of the main players from the prison and at the end as a bonus treat, we got to meet some new characters.  Well, for anyone who’s read the comic they’re not ENTIRELY new. It’s Abraham, Rosita, and Eugene!  Hopefully they’ll play as large a part in the show as they have in the comic (and aside from that, it’s nice to see some new faces on the show after we lost a few back at the prison).  Of course, since things on the show don’t always stick to the story of the comics, will these new faces be friend or foe?  Let’s find out!

We’ve got another episode of The Animated Show for you! Greekimus Prime and Big Evil sit around and drop some spoilers on the newest Justice League movie and decide whether or not it sits on the top or the bottom of the huge pile of DC’s animated features. From there they talk up Everything That’s Awesome with The Lego Movie (watch the movie and you’ll get the joke…) and then end up talking about Disney Infinity and the rumors about Disney’s possibly sequel to their newest franchise. So sit back, relax, and revert back to your 12 year-old self with another episode of The Animated Show!

Top Ten Fantastic Four Covers (Kirby and Lee Era)

Although I am indisputably a child of the X-Men generation, my heart has always belonged on a very important level to the Fantastic Four. My first experience with FF comics came well after my early encounters with Spider-Man and the X-Men, but there was always something about the dynamic of the Fantastic Four that drew me in. Perhaps it’s because I, myself, came from a large family and the relationship between that team is very much that of a family. Perhaps it was the fact that one Christmas of 1991 I received a video cassette copy of “The Menace of Magneto”, an episode of the 1970s Fantastic Four cartoon in which Reed, Sue, Ben and H.E.R.B.I.E. take down the Master of Magnetism himself, with the help of a WOODEN GUN(!?!?!).

Your Weekend Creature Comforts: The Echidna

Welcome to another weekend edition of our Creature Comforts! Now with the title this week you might be wondering if I am writing about a strange marsupial covered in quills from Australia. But actually no, this echidna is just as amazing in its own way, specifically that in Greek mythology this echidna is “The Mother of All Monsters”.myth_to_life__echidna_by_redphoenix621-d6716vt

TV From The Crypts: Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 2

Morning Evil Geeks! Feeling down, lonely, and maybe even have some cabin fever if you are snowed in up in the Northeast? Come to sunny California! Can’t make the move? Why not indulge in the guilty pleasure that is Buffy the Vampire Slayer, taking place in Sunnydale, California, where all the fun seems to happen. I’ve already brought you the wonders of Season 1, reminiscing my high school days as I relished in the colorful, oversized outfits of the 90’s and the developing love between Buffy and Angel. I’ve since moved on to Season 2 and am pleased to report that it was even better than I remembered. Sure, Season 1 had some corny moments, like Xander and friends being turned in to human-hyenas, but Season 2 was just stellar. Less teenage drama, more action, and lots of Angel-Buffy moments. Be forewarned, spoilers to follow!

Villain Spotlight: Willy Wonka Part 2

I promised all of you a sequel to my last Wonka Villain Special, and I keep my promises! I apologize it has taken so long but truth be told I had not actually watched the more modern remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory specifically because I didn’t want it to spoil my endearment for the first film, but I delved in to the film just for all you fans this week. This time around we are going to spotlight Johnny Depp’s version of Willy Wonka.
