New Trailers revealed at E3 2013!

Afternoon Nerds!

E3 is upon us and that means that we get to see what’s in store for our video game futures! Three trailers hit the internet yesterday that are based on successful franchises, yet offer us a new take on them, so lets take a look!

LEGOMarvelSuperHeroes

First off we have LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is based on the wildly popular LEGO franchise where we’ve seen Star Wars, Batman, Indiana Jones, and even Pirates but this time it stars the heroes and villains from the Marvel U! In the story you work with Nick Fury as he calls upon heroes to save the world from the likes of Loki, Galactus, and more! From first look it appears that it’s heavily based on the movie universe (for the Avengers at least,) but I hope that there are a bunch of different skins available so I can assemble some 60’s heroes! The LEGO games are some of my favorites so this will definitely be on the top of my birthday or christmas list this year! LEGO Marvel Super Heroes will be available for all systems later this year and you can check out the trailer right here…

Next we’ve got Batman: Arkham Origins! This game has had a lot of press lately, just not the positive kind. For those of you living under a rock it sounds like it’s based off of the popular Arkham series that were Games of the Year, but it’s only similar in name alone. Rather than Rocksteady this game is being produced by Warner Bros. Games Montreal and will serve as a prequel of sorts to both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City and tells the story of a young Batman dealing with a defining moment early in his career. I like the idea behind the game but I’m suspicious that they’re just cranking out anything with the bat symbol on it in the quest for more money. As expected, Warner Bros. Games Montreal debuted a new trailer at E3 and this one includes footage from the game where previous ones were just cinematic footage. I don’t know, as we get closer to the date I may get it after all, either that or finally get my subscription to Gamefly! Batman: Arkham Origins will be available for all systems on October 25, 2013 and you can check out the trailer right here…

Lastly we’ve got the game that I am looking forward to the most, Star Wars: Battlefront! Battlefront was always one of my favorite games and is half the reason why I still keep my old systems around. Only the teaser trailer has been revealed but the game if being developed by EA, specifically their Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment team, or DICE for short who are the parties responsible for the successful and addictive Battlefield series! This date on this game and the availability on systems is still up in the air, but you can check out the teaser trailer right here…

OK, thats all for now nerds. We’ll keep you informed over the next couple of days of all the news coming out of E3!

Later Internet!

  1. Finally! I have been waiting years for this game!

If DICE is making the game I’d say it’s safe to assume it will be available on the PS4. Also, we’re likely in good hands. If this game is a flop there will be hell to pay.
